Initial Consultation:
Not as serious as it sounds! This is really a chance to meet your chef in person and for them to ask you about you and your family members, how & what you eat, dislikes & likes, any dietary requirements, equipment you have in your kitchen or whether you would like your chef to cook your food in the 5 Star Cooks AT Home registered kitchen and so on. At the end of the initial consult your chef will help you choose your dishes for your freezer fill and set a date for your booking.
Cooking Day:
Your chef will arrive with all the ingredients and any equipment you may not have that’s required to prepare and cook the 8 different dishes chosen by you from one of our varied menus. Every meal is prepared and cooked on the day, specifically for you as specified in the consultation. Your meals are then portioned, packed and labelled and finally frozen in your freezer.
Packaging of the meals:
All meals are packaged in fully recyclable foil containers with cardboard lids. There is a choice of portion size ranging from individual to double including child size portions. (meals can even be stored in your own dishes if desired).
Clean-Up:
Your private chef will thoroughly clean up after themselves, wash and tidy away any equipment, wipe all work surfaces, hobs, sweep floors, turn the dishwasher on etc – the kitchen is left as found with only a freezer full of delicious food as the evidence we were ever there! Remember the Elves and Shoemaker….

Shopping Service:
|
Ingredients for each freezer fill are bought fresh from local farm shops and green grocers wherever possible. Some are bought from specialist suppliers who stock the best quality ingredients and the remaining items come from a local supermarket. You can also specify whether we use organic produce or not. |

NB: Please note freezer fill prices are excluding ingredients. You can either buy your own ingredients (a shopping list is provided by Cooks at Home) or request Cooks at Home to do the shopping for you; see service description above.
TIP: You can share a freezer fill with a friend or family member; all cooking will be carried out in one kitchen and you can specify how the meals are portioned so that it will be easy for you to split the meals!!
*Travel costs will be charged extra for distances of 10 miles or more at 75p / mile including return journey. Currently we are based in Stockport Cheshire.
